Nabha : Nabha state was one of princely states of India and Nabha town was capital of this princely state during British rule. Maharaja Hira Singh was one of the main rulers of the state as during this period, Nabha saw its greatest recognition and growth. Maharaha Shri Ripudaman Singh succeeded his father in 1911. In 1947, Nabha formed a part of Patiala and East Punjab States Union (PEPSU). At a subsequent reorganisation, Patiala was created as a district and Nabha formed a subdivision in Patiala District.
